Born and raised in Jos, Nigeria as the firstborn of four, Tolu Ekwe has built a career spanning healthcare, literature, and family wellness. Her travels across Africa and beyond shape the multicultural perspective she brings to every stage, page, and counselling session.
Now based in Abuja with her husband and three children, Tolu is a practising pharmacist, a passionate advocate for thriving marriages and empowered children, and a business owner and social entrepreneur whose work reaches families across Nigeria and beyond.

Tolu is a prolific author with 12 published children’s books to her name — stories crafted not just to entertain, but to educate and instil timeless values in young readers. At the heart of her writing is a simple belief: the right story, told at the right time, has the power to shape the character of a generation.
Her love for storytelling doesn’t stop at children’s literature. She co-authored the anthology Lessons We Learnt from COVID-19, contributing her voice to a collective reflection on one of the most defining moments of our time. She also partnered with her husband to write Raging Waters, a novel exploring the trials and triumphs of marriage.
Whether writing for a child discovering their first chapter book or an adult navigating life’s deeper waters, Tolu’s work is united by one thread — stories that meet readers exactly where they are, and leave them a little wiser for having read them.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Tolu is an avid reader, storyteller, and movie enthusiast — particularly drawn to detective and comedy films. These passions ground her and regularly find their way into her speaking and writing
